5 months

i've been teaching

creative arts

to children

in a small community

in

nicaragua

we put on a

play

as final project before the

winter break

it was one

of the most amazing things

i've ever

had the

pleasure

to work on

notes

set design

the costumes

the cast

of course there was singing!

just returned

from

a

day trip

to a beach

called

las cortinas

surfing, friends, hammocks

&

homemade mexican food

oh yes

and the place we

stayed at

was

nautical-

themed

we found this spot after a

van ride

boat ride

little walk

&

horse and cart ride

if you ask me nicely

maybe i'll tell you

of course there's

lions

in

león

on

a little trip to

San Juan de Oriente

with my friends

that are starting up a business that

helps artisans

from developing countries

sell their wares

across north america

we were meeting with artists

and

trying to get some shots for an article a little mag was going to write about them

once a month the child sponsorship program has

'milk day'

where we weigh and measure the kids

have a health consultation with the moms

and give them

milk vitamins & oatmeal

my job was to

take the photos

los niños sure are cute

some fellow creatures i've met this past month

we found

old skulls and

taxidermied reptiles in the jungle

something about

bones

i find

particularly

beautiful
